The tower has stood over the settlement of Lavreiv since time immemorial. Through the countless years, many have speculated what lies beyond its stalwart walls. Riches? Knowledge? Power? Though throngs have tried to pierce its defences in its time, none are known to have been successful. Eventually, rumours surfaced that those who step foot in the tower are spirited away, never to be seen again. It was for this reason that the ruling power of the region, Lavreiv’s Archlord, forbade entry to the tower. This decree stood through each successive ruler who took the mantle of Archlord, maintaining the sanctity of this command through the generations.

This shattered however on an otherwise unremarkable day, when the current Archlord’s son went missing in the night. Knowing his son as he was, the Archlord could only imagine one place where the boy might have gone. And so, for the first time since in decades, the Archlord has sent a missive across the lands requesting the presence of strong-willed and powerful warriors to breach the tower’s walls and explore its hidden depths.

As a great individual of some renown, the missive has found its way into your lap, leading you and your comrades to the settlement of Lavreiv. Your mission is to explore the great tower, whose mysteries have remained elusive for generations, in search of the Archlord’s vanished heir. Your resolve steeled and your mind focused, you begin the long and arduous journey to the shrouded city of Lavreiv.
